Victory Garden
The weather was so beautiful here today and I had been wanting to plant our garden so my mom and I spent all day plowing and planting. Let me just tell you, it was a workout! I'm sitting here writing this and my arms are sore. But we brought out a speaker and played a little Sam Hunt and made it a good time!
We had planted the seeds a few weeks ago in a little pots for them to start growing and transferred them over to the garden today. We put a weed-resistant tarp down and cut holes for the plants to make the maintenance of the garden easier. It was quite a process but now we have a (hopefully) a low-maintenance garden for the summer!
This was the area before we plowed it... lots of weeds and chunks of dirt and clay. This definitely was the hardest part of the project but hey we worked out our arms while doing it!
Post-workout:
Once it was all rolled out, I cut circles along the tarp and added potting soil to put the plant in. The seeds I used were corn, green beans, cilantro, basil, peppers, and cucumbers.
Has anyone used this method before an how did it turn out? Hoping all that work pays off :)
Xoxo, Al
